Our Wedding

I just wanted to sit down and make a record of the elements of our wedding day for myself -for when memory fades and our day seems long ago, as well as for anyone else that may be interested.

We were married a year and ten days after Joe proposed to me on a sunny cliff top in Devon on my birthday.

I knew from the start that I wanted the day to be as personal as possible and for it to truly reflect us as a couple. I love symbolism; weaving elements throughout occasions and outfits that may not be immediately obvious, but that have time, thought and meaning poured into them.

We decided on the loose theme of cottage garden meets agriculture, and we tried to incorporate this into every element of the celebration.

Wedding Stationery

The wedding stationery was a bit of a joint effort between Steph Burch Art (a lovely friend of ours) and our wonderful brother-in-law Andy and sister Katie.

Steph created the floral illustrations and Andy and Kit did their magic. I had been inspired by a cousins wedding whether they have included their interests in the artwork so wanted to do this for ours.

Kit did the calligraphy and smaller illustrations of the church, gate and map etc
